Terms of Service

1. Introduction

Welcome to the General Artificial Intelligence Proficiency Institute ("GenAIPI"). These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of our website at GenAIPI.org and services, including our AI Transformation System, fractional Chief AI Officer (fCAIO) engagements, live instructor-led training courses, self-paced learning modules, assessment tests, and certification programs.

2. User Accounts

To access certain features, you must register for an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.

3. Services

3.1 Assessment Tests

We offer AI proficiency assessment tests including a free AI Mastery Predictor Test and a comprehensive paid General AI Proficiency Certification Test with domain-specific scoring.

3.2 Learning Modules

Self-paced courses and learning modules designed to improve AI proficiency. Courses include access to premium content, quizzes, and progress tracking.

3.3 Certifications

Certifications have a 2-year validity period, include a unique verifiable certificate ID at genaipi.org/verify, and require a minimum passing score of 70%. We may revoke certifications for cheating, fraud, or misrepresentation.

3.4 Live Instructor-Led Courses

Interactive, instructor-led training sessions with limited enrollment. Cancellation policy: full refund 7+ days before start, 50% refund or transfer less than 7 days before start, no refunds after course begins. We may cancel or reschedule with 48 hours notice.

3.5 AI Transformation System

Ongoing AI infrastructure engagements led by a dedicated fCAIO team. Terms are outlined in a separate engagement agreement covering deliverables, cadence, roadmap, and IP rights. Either party may terminate with 30 days written notice unless otherwise specified.

4. Payment and Billing

4.1 Payment Processing

All payments are processed securely through Stripe. By making a purchase, you agree to Stripe's terms of service. We do not store your complete payment information on our servers.

4.2 Pricing

All prices are listed in US dollars unless otherwise specified. We reserve the right to change pricing at any time, but changes will not affect previously completed purchases.

4.3 Refunds

Our refund policy varies by service:

• Certification tests: No refunds once the test has been started
• Self-paced courses: Refunds may be available within 14 days of purchase if less than 20% of the content has been accessed
• Live courses: Full refund if cancelled 7+ days before start; 50% refund or transfer if cancelled less than 7 days before start; no refund after course begins
• AI Transformation System engagements: Refunds are governed by the specific engagement agreement

All refund requests must be submitted to support@genaipi.org.

5. Intellectual Property

All content provided through our Services, including but not limited to courses, assessments, certification materials, training resources, software, graphics, and documentation, is the intellectual property of GenAIPI or its licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works of, publicly display, or otherwise exploit our content without our express written permission.

6. User Conduct

You agree not to: share your account credentials, use our Services for any unlawful purpose, attempt to circumvent security measures, cheat on assessments or certification tests, reverse engineer or copy our proprietary content, use automated systems to access our Services, or harass other users or staff.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

Our Services are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that our Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, GenAIPI shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use our Services. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the specific service giving rise to the claim in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless GenAIPI, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your use of our Services or violation of these Terms.

10. Modifications to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms and updating the "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of our Services after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
